Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the Surgical Services department. Under the direction of the Unit Director, you will assist in preparing ORs, maintaining instrument counts, and supporting sterile technique to ensure safe patient care.

Eligible candidates should graduate from an accredited surgical technology program and complete BLS within 90 days of hire; LPNs with surgical experience may also be considered. This full-time role is based in our surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program with credentialing.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• LPN with prior surgical experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of Standard Precautions and sterile technique.
• Assists in preparing operating rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Positions patients for surgical procedures under supervision.
• Maintains accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Coordinates with RN and surgeon to support safe patient care.
