Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the Surgical Department under RN supervision. The role involves assisting with patient care in the OR, preparing tables and equipment, and ensuring sterile technique according to standards.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and BLS certification within 90 days of hire; credentialing to be maintained or obtained within a year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Credentialing must be held or obtained within a year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and setting up operating rooms with supplies and equipment.
• Assist licensed practitioners in positioning patients for surgery and in draping.
• Maintain sponges, needles, and instruments with RN; report discrepancies.
