Job summary

Physician Directed Partners seeks a Surgical Technician to join a fast-growing team. This hands-on role assists surgical teams, prepares operating rooms, ensures infection control, and travels between ambulatory surgery centers.

The candidate should have a current BLS certification and surgical technologist credential, basic EHR knowledge, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Current BLS Certification required.
• Current certification as a surgical technologist or proof of equivalent training.
• Previous experience in operating rooms is preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of computer and EHR systems.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; works well in group problem‑solving situations
• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, surgical suite, supplies, and equipment for upcoming surgery
• Ensure the operating room meets standards for safety and infection control.
• Assists the surgeon with surgical procedures by passing instruments and anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
• Verify sterilization of all equipment and the integrity of sterile packing.
• Works with a Charge RN to monitor supplies and maintenance of equipment.
• Performs work related tasks and projects as required.
• All other duties as assigned
