Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks a Surgical Technician to assist the surgical team in the operating room, preparing sterile fields, retracting and passing instruments to surgeons during cases, and maintaining supplies.

Requires CPR/BLS certification and six months of OR experience or scrub tech training; prior associate degree or technical training preferred. Duties include ensuring readiness of equipment and proper cleanup of instruments and facilities.

Qualifications

• Six months of OR experience or completion of scrub tech training required.
• CPR or BLS certification required by AH policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for each surgical case by checking required supplies and equipment.
• Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures.
• Reviews equipment inventory for specialty as assigned.
• Sets up operative instrumentation/sterile field for expedient retrieval/utilization.
• Collects data on assigned surgical cases by unit Performance Standards of Care.
• Cleans equipment and facilities as necessary.

Education

High School Education/GED or equivalent (Preferred)

Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience (Preferred)

Six months of OR experience or completed Scrub Tech course (Required)
