Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgery team with prep, instrument handling, and maintaining a sterile environment. You will support surgeons, aid in gowning and gloving, and ensure patient safety throughout operative procedures.

Ideal candidates have a Surgical Technology Program background, CST eligibility, and 1–2 years of OR experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of Surgical Technology Program.
• Eligible to become Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• 1–2 years of acute hospital OR experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Dons operating room attire and PPE.
• Gathers, checks, and opens supplies and equipment.
• Sets up sterile table/tray with instruments and meds.
• Performs the surgical scrub and assists gowning/gloving.
• Prepare operating rooms for surgery and ready patients.
• Assist RN in patient care during procedures.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and maintains sterility.
• Maintains sterile environment to prevent infections.
• Documents counts and required records efficiently.
