RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Surgical Technician for our CVOR in New Jersey. You will prepare the operating room, assist surgeons and perioperative staff, and help ensure safe, efficient patient care throughout the perioperative experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, sterile technique, and a commitment to patient safety, with opportunities for professional growth and participation in quality initiatives within a collaborative perioperative team.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a Surgical Technician program and CST credential.
• Minimum 2 years' OR Surgical Technician experience.
• BLS certification required by AHA.
• Ability to work 6:00 AM–6:30 PM, weekends/holidays/on-call.

Aufgaben

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Maintain sterile environment in the OR.
• Collaborate with perioperative team for patient care.
• Maintain sterile field and follow infection prevention policies.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and assist with instruments.
• Support surgical team with supplies and equipment.
• Monitor perioperative patient physiologic responses.
• Follow laser/electrosurgical safety procedures.
• Contribute to turnover and readiness between cases.
• Participate in education, orientation and quality initiatives.
