Qualifications

• High school graduate with accredited OR technician training.
• Current AST certification and BLS certification required.
• Experience in a fast-paced surgical environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Provide scrub support for surgeons, nurses and anesthesia team during procedures.
• Anticipate needs of the surgical team to maintain a safe operative environment.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards.
• Handle, organize and pass instruments and equipment with care.
• Support patient safety, comfort and dignity before, during and after surgery.
• Assist with instrument cleaning and OR equipment prep between cases.
• Collaborate with perioperative team to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
