Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the Morris Cancer Center Operating Room team. You will prepare the OR, assist surgeons and perioperative staff, and help ensure safe, efficient care throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates have completed a Surgical Technology program or hold a CST credential, current BLS, and are dedicated to patient safety and sterile technique in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completed Surgical Technology program or CST credential required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Successful completion of departmental orientation and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Support surgeons and perioperative nurses during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Assist surgical team with instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor the perioperative environment for patient safety.
