RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, NJ seeks a Surgical Technician in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to prepare the operating room, support surgeons and perioperative nurses, and help ensure safe, efficient, high‑quality surgical care. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Completion of Surgical Technician program and CST certification (NBSTSA or equivalent)
Minimum of 2 years surgical technician experience in an OR
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies for procedures
Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
Collaborate with perioperative team to provide patient-centered care throughout the surgical experience
Maintain sterile field and follow infection prevention protocols
Anticipate surgeon's needs and assist with instruments and supplies
Support turnover and readiness between procedures
Participate in departmental education and quality improvement initiatives
