Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus - Nursing: Labor and Delivery seeks a Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and patient care in the OR suite. The role supports the RN circulator with patient prep, instrument handling, and room turnover, ensuring safety and compliance with procedures.

This is a part-time night position in Concord, NC, requiring a high school diploma or GED, an accredited surgical technology program, and BLS. Certification is preferred to join a dynamic obstetrics team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Current certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile technique and assists in surgical procedures.
• Assists in obtaining, organizing supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Assists RN circulator with patient prep and room turnover.
• Follows department policies and ensures proper documentation.
• Monitors sterilization and maintains supply integrity.
• Participates in training and performance-improvement activities.
• Supports in policy/procedure development.
