Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Surgical Technology Assistant in the Labor and Delivery area at Atrium Health Cabarrus. The 24-hour weekly night schedule includes duties around aseptic technique, instrument organization, room turnover, and collaboration with the RN circulator to ensure patient readiness.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED, BLS, and graduation from a surgical technology program or equivalent military OR training; current certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Aseptic technique knowledge is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider is required.
• Graduate of surgical technology program or OR military training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments for surgical procedures.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep and room turnover.
• Monitors sterility and proper documentation of charges.
• Attends in-services and participates in performance improvement.
• Supports development of policies, procedures and standards.
