Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Inc. in Covington, GA is seeking an OB Surg Tech for Labor and Delivery night shifts. You will manage instruments, supplies and equipment for obstetrical procedures in the OR and maintain sterility while anticipating the surgeon's needs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of surgical technologist training or equivalent OR experience, and a current BLS certification. NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED are required.
• 3 years Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program OR one year of OR experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist OR direct patient care experience in a clinical setting.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment needed during obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery OR.
• Understand the procedure and anticipate the surgeon's needs to maintain sterile field and quality patient care.
• Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.
