Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join the Pineville—Surgery Room team. This full-time role involves aiding in aseptic techniques, setting up and passing instruments, and ensuring proper sterilization and room turnover for complex procedures including neurosurgery and robotics.

Hours are 40 per week with a Monday-Thursday night schedule, 19:00-5:30, and a pay range of $28.55 to $42.85 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology.
• Current certification through NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during and after surgery.
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Assist RN circulator in patient prep, supplies, instruments, and room turnover.
• Work with neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics cases.
• Monitor sterility of supplies and document charges.
• Attend trainings and participate in Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Support development of policies and serve as a clinical resource.
