Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston is seeking a Surgical Technician II to support the OR team alongside Registered Nurses. You will prepare instruments, scrub in, and help maintain room turnover.

The role requires graduating from an accredited surgical technology program, BLS, and at least 3 years of experience, with readiness to work across multi-specialty services and mentor new technicians. The position serves diverse age groups in the ASC/Hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAEHEP/ABHES accredited surgical tech program.
• Current BLS certification.
• 3+ years of surgical technician experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mastery of advanced surgical technician skills and knowledge of at least one specialty service.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the instruments for each surgical procedure.
• Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assists the surgeon.
• Assists in room turnover and are responsible for instrument decontamination.
• Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to specific age groups.
• This position works as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR.
• This position serves the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.
