Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Kelsey-Seybold Clinic opportunity seeks a Surgical Technician II to support the OR team across multiple settings in Houston, TX. You will prepare instruments, scrub in, assist the surgeon, and help with turnover and decontamination while contributing to staff orientation.

The role requires a CAAHEP/ABHES-accredited program, BLS, and 3+ years of experience, with basic computer skills and instrument handling proficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a surgical technology program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES.
• BLS certification; 3+ years surgical tech experience.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and surgical instrument handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments for each surgical procedure.
• Scrub in to assist surgeon and manage instruments.
• Assist with room turnover and instrument decontamination.
• Contribute to orientation of new technicians.
• Serve across OR/ASC/hospital across age groups.
