Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks Surgical Technicians at levels I and II to support OR teams in Houston. The role involves instrument prep, scrubbing, and assisting surgeons under physician guidance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited.
• Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association.
• 1+ years of surgical tech experience.
• Mastery of basic Surgical Tech skills and knowledge of at least one specialty service.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Technician I assists in the OR with instrument preparation and scrubs in.
• Collaborates with Registered Nurses to care for the surgical patient.
• Contributes to room turnover and instrument decontamination.
