Baylor Medical Center- Irving is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to support the operative team under a Registered Nurse's supervision. You will prepare the sterile field, assist with draping, and ensure instruments and supplies are available and functioning.

The position is full-time, daytime hours (630AM-3PM), with on-call requirements and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. A CST certification and an accredited program are required, with strong infection control knowledge.

Qualificações

• EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION: BLS; CST certification (NBSTSA/NCCT)

Responsabilidades

• Discuss special needs with the surgeon before surgery.
• Scrub into surgery and prepare instruments.
• Prepare operative site by aseptic cleaning and clipping.
• Maintain instrument table and ensure proper counts.
• Set up OR per schedule and arrange sterile supplies.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment.
• Perform counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Assist with draping and positioning the patient.
• Clean the OR after case and dispose of waste properly.
