Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Surgical Tech to join the operating room team and assist surgeons throughout procedures. The role emphasizes strict aseptic technique, accurate instrument handling, and proactive collaboration with circulating nurses and physicians.

You will uphold regulatory standards, support patient safety, and contribute to a safe, efficient OR environment across day shifts at our Celebration, FL campus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and instruments.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and work with surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed.
• Maintains high standards for cost containment and quality in procedures.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports satisfaction initiatives and maintains relationships with physicians and staff.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaches promptly.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and policies.
