Job summary

Mercy Hospital St Louis - Anesthesia is seeking a Surgical Support Advanced Technician for a full-time evening shift (1pm-9:30pm). The role supports perioperative care, performs designated procedures, and collaborates with the team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, at least one year of hospital clinical experience (OR experience preferred), and BLS certification (or able to obtain within 90 days).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One-year clinical experience within a hospital may be required per location of employment.
• One year OR experience preferred.
• BLS required or may obtain within 90 days of hire.
• CNA may be required per location of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in individualized patient care and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care.
• Performs designated clinical procedures as directed to support the perioperative team.
• Follows Mercy safety, confidentiality, and patient rights/regulations and maintains infection prevention practices.
• Uses unit technology (pagers, Rover, zone phones) for daily communication and task management.
