Job summary

Mercy Hospital St Louis is seeking a Surgical Support Advanced Technician for a full-time evening shift (1pm–9:30pm) in Anesthesia. The role supports perioperative care, performs designated clinical procedures, and executes non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.

The individual will work cooperatively with a team, follow safety and infection control protocols, and utilize unit-specific technology to maintain efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One-year clinical experience within a hospital may be required; one year OR experience preferred.
• BLS required or may be obtained within 90 days of hire; CNA may be required per location of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the perioperative leader.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Follow Mercy safety, confidentiality, and patient rights regulations; participate in infection prevention.
• Utilize unit-specific technology for daily tasks and communications.

• Required Education:
