Mercy is seeking a Surgical Support Associate to join the perioperative team in a full-time, day shift. The role focuses on assisting with patient care activities, operating room readiness, equipment upkeep, and efficient department operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient experiences.

Under perioperative leadership, you will collaborate with clinicians to maintain patient safety, documentation, and smooth turnover between cases, while developing skills in a fast-paced surgical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required.
• Healthcare or patient care experience preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification may be required based on location.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized patient care to support wellness and safety.
• Assist in operating room preparation, equipment maintenance, and department operations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and team members to optimize patient care and workflows.
• Complete charge reconciliation and document charges; support department staffing and daily operations.
