Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, seeks a Surgical Technician/OR Tech for the day shift on a part-time basis. The incumbent will work under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed professional to provide safe, quality health care and assist with patient care.

Certification or specialized training is required, with a $5K sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and state-specific certification or training

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school, completing a GED, or obtained a high school diploma or GED.
• Specialty license, certification, training, or experience according to assignment area in the applicable state(s) of engagement.

Responsibilities

• Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe & therapeutic environment. Engages in therapeutic communication and assists nurses & designated health care professional in keeping detailed records, maintaining clear communication between the entire care team & working with patients & families. May serve as a resource (lead), role model & / or mentor.
