Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic's St. Mary Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician / Operating (OR) Tech to work under the supervision of an Operating Room Registered Nurse.

The role supports patient care in a collaborative Surgical Services environment, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for a 2-year commitment. Responsibilities include direct patient observation, detailed record-keeping, and potential leadership or mentorship within the care team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school, completing a GED, or obtained a high school diploma or GED.
• Specialty license, certification, training, or experience according to assignment area in the applicable state(s) of engagement.

Responsibilities

• Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe & therapeutic environment.
• Engages in therapeutic communication and assists nurses & designated health care professional in keeping detailed records, maintaining clear communication between the entire care team & working with patients & families.
• May serve as a resource (lead), role model & / or mentor.
