Job summary

St Mary Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Surgical Technician / Operating (OR) Tech to join Surgical Services. The position is part-time day shift and supports patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or other healthcare professional, with in-house certifications or licensing as required.

Qualifications include current enrollment in high school or a GED and applicable specialty certification or training per state requirements.

• Specialty license, certification, training, or experience according to assignment area in the applicable state(s) of engagement.

The Surgical Technician / Operating (OR) Tech ( uncertified, certified, unlicensed, or licensed) works in a collaborative environment at St Mary Medical Center within Surgical Services to provide safe, quality health care services & / or assistance to patients under the supervision & direction of a registered nurse or other designated health care professional in accordance with level of experience, education, policies & procedures. Must have additional training through the achievement of in-house certifications or have successful completion of role specific certification or licensing .

What You Will Do:

• Employment Type/Shift: Part Time Days, $5K Sign-on bonus**

• Participates in d irect one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe & therapeutic environment .

• Engages in therapeutic communication and a ssist s nurses & designated health care professional in keeping detailed records, maintaining clear communication between the entire care team & working with patients & families.
