Job summary

UF Health seeks a Surgery and Outpatient Scheduling Manager to oversee Horizon Surgical Manager and Pathways Scheduling Systems across Perioperative and outpatient departments. You will train users, troubleshoot, and generate reports while coordinating clinical protocols and financial implications.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) and a Florida Nursing License with at least two years’ nursing practice and management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
• Current Florida Nursing License required.
• ACLS , BLS for Healthcare providers preferred.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Minimum of two years professional nursing practice required.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Horizon Surgical Manager and Pathways Scheduling Systems.
• Coordinate the efforts of all Perioperative Departments in scheduling systems use.
• Train end-users and troubleshoot system issues; program and maintain reports.
• Direct supervision of two Perioperative Services areas and lead schedulers across five outpatient departments.
• Coordinate interaction with Materials Management for surgical supply inventory.
• Work with Clinical Information Systems and Patient Financial Services for patient charging.
• Translate clinical and financial needs into efficient computer processing.
• Ensure compliance with Local Medical Review Policies for Medicare reimbursement.
• Maintain positive patient satisfaction while managing costs.
