Job summary
Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Manager of Centralized Staffing & Scheduling to lead the daily operations of the scheduling and staffing department within the ROC. You will coordinate surgical schedules with physician availability, patient needs, and OR capacity, while guiding staff assignments and resolving conflicts.
Associate’s degree preferred; 3 years of experience with staffing/scheduling software in a 24/7 healthcare setting; EPIC EHR experience preferred.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with staffing/scheduling software in a 24/7 healthcare setting.
- Experience coordinating scheduling with physicians and operating room capacity.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the scheduling and staffing department.
- Coordinate team activities to prioritize and resource work.
- Serve as escalation point for scheduling exceptions and issues.
- Recommend and implement workflow changes to improve processes.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and admins to align needs.
- Track metrics like case volume and staff utilization to identify improvements.
- Provide reports to leadership and ensure compliance with policies.
