• Works well individually and as part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Schedules, reschedules, or cancels surgical appointments.
• Communicates with all surgical candidates to set up appointments and provide pre-operative information.
• Informs patients of insurance requirements and timelines for procedures.
• Coordinates scheduling information flow into and out of the clinic.
• Maintains direct communication with OR staff and scheduling team.
• Obtains insurance preauthorization and other medical documentation as needed.
• Keeps patients and medical staff informed to minimize missing information for procedures.
• Performs office duties like filing, mailing, and creating surgical documents.
