Job summary

Henry Ford Jackson Hematology Oncology is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to coordinate and schedule surgeries, post-op appointments, pre-admission testing, procedures, diagnostic testing, and referrals. The role includes obtaining insurance authorizations and providing patient education, in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

The office operates Monday–Thursday 7:00 am–6:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am–5:30 pm, and Saturday 7:30 am–10:00 am, with a team-oriented setting across providers and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Experience in a clinical or health care setting.
• Ability to maintain high standard of customer service and protocol.
• Team-oriented relationships with managers, physicians and staff.
• Anticipate issues and suggest improvement strategies.
• Highly organized and meticulous about details.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Two years scheduling experience (preferred).
• NextGen experience.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD9/ICD10 codes.
