Job summary

Duly Health and Care seeks a detail-oriented scheduling specialist to greet patients and coordinate pre-op testing and referrals. You will work closely with physicians and scheduling staff to ensure accurate patient information and smooth procedures.

Responsibilities include confirming appointments, preparing paperwork, and maintaining confidentiality. Strong multitasking and time-management skills are essential for success in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (CPT/ICD-9).
• Experience with patient referrals and scheduling.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Excellent time management and communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly manner whether on the phone or in person.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal physicians and scheduling staff.
• Verify patient personal and insurance information; coordinate pre-op testing per insurance.
• Serve as single point-of-contact for internal staff and external inquiries for scheduled procedures.
• Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op labs and other testing as needed.
• Contact patients to confirm procedures; explain prep instructions to patients.
• Prepare essential paperwork for referral coordinator and facilities.
• Verify daily doctor schedules and distribute to staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and coordinate with billing to ensure proper charges.
• Cover/fill-in for co-workers as needed and direct cases to facilities.
