OrthoVirginia in Blacksburg is seeking an organized Surgery Scheduler to coordinate inpatient and outpatient procedures from scheduling through post-operative follow-up. You will work with physicians, surgery centers, and hospitals to ensure all details are aligned and patients are guided through the surgical journey.

The role requires strong communication, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Mansioni

• Incoordination of inpatient and outpatient surgeries, procedures, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care.
• Scheduling procedures with hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and other facilities.
• Verifying insurance eligibility and coordinating pre-certifications and prior authorizations.
• Collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure documentation and surgical requirements are complete.
• Educating patients on scheduling, pre-admission requirements, and post-operative instructions.
• Maintaining accurate patient records for billing and regulatory purposes.
