Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate all surgical and diagnostic procedures. You will act as a liaison between patients, physicians, and staff, obtaining pre-operative paperwork and distributing schedules to departments.

In this role you will support the surgical department with data entry, meetings, and scheduling while delivering timely communication and exceptional patient service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates degree preferred in business/health admin or related field.
• 5+ years experience in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with scheduling responsibilities.
• Experience in customer service and working with physicians and the public required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate surgical and diagnostic procedures and obtain pre-operative paperwork.
• Distribute and manage surgical schedules to physicians and departments; provide data entry and administrative support.
• Support the surgical department by attending meetings and coordinating with staff to ensure timely operations.
