Munson Healthcare, a northern Michigan healthcare system, is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for the OR. This remote, full-time role supports the OR schedule, coordinates add-ons and cancellations, and communicates with physicians’ offices to ensure smooth daily operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience with medical terminology, and proficiency in MS Word and multiple computer systems. Michigan residency is required for this remote position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree desirable.
• Experience with medical terminology is strongly desired.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Windows-based applications; ability to use multiple computer systems.

Responsabilités

• Handle all future scheduling for the OR, including telephone requests and scheduling slips.
• Enter and coordinate daily surgical cases using OR Management scheduling systems.
• Notify surgeons' offices of surgery times and share confirmations with appropriate staff.
• Coordinate case order considering shared resources and staff availability.
