Qualifications

• Occasional local travel to support other offices.

Responsibilities

• Triage surgical candidates as required by physicians.
• Educate patients about planned surgery.
• Verify insurance information in the electronic system.
• Obtain insurance authorizations as required by individual plans prior to surgery.
• Obtain medical clearances and coordinate preoperative testing with surgeons and hospital protocols.
• Work with hospital personnel to obtain information for surgery scheduling.
• Notify manager with patient account and insurance issues.
• Provide assistance to admin or clinical staff as needed; other duties as assigned.
