You will educate patients, ensure HIPAA compliance, and collaborate with surgeons and hospital staff to keep schedules running smoothly. This role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and experience in a physician office with surgery scheduling experience.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required with completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• CMA certification preferred; CPR certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a physician office with surgery scheduling experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Triage and schedule surgery and related pre-operative testing.
• Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Coordinate preoperative labs and post-surgery care with physicians and hospital staff.
• Educate patients about planned surgery and maintain open communication with team.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal policies; assist staff as needed.
