Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a surgical coordinator to support pre-operative interviews and the scheduling of surgical procedures. The role collaborates with hospital staff, providers, and facilities to ensure smooth coordination of patients and procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of surgical coordination experience, preferably in an acute care setting, and can effectively educate patients about surgical processes and timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a surgical coordinator.
• Experience in acute care/medical surgical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates surgery with patient, family and facility.
• Interviews and educates patient for surgery.
• Ensures accuracy of all procedures, paperwork, testing and appointments.
• Acts as primary resource for the surgical patient and the surgeon.
• Maintains relationships with outside offices, facilities and hospital departments.
• Assists with coordination of provider, resident, office, surgical and on-call schedules where appropriate.
