Boro Park OB/GYN is seeking a Surgical Coordinator in Brooklyn, NY to manage hospital-based scheduling and administrative coordination. You will oversee scheduling, hospital block time, preoperative clearances, and communications with physicians, patients, and operating room teams.

The role requires 2–3 years in surgical scheduling, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 and insurance processes. You will improve efficiency and readiness for each procedure.

Formación

• 2–3 years of experience in surgical scheduling.
• Experience coordinating preoperative testing, medical clearances, and authorizations.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 codes and insurance requirements.
• Strong organizational skills for multiple physicians and hospitals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; meeting deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and schedule all hospital-based procedures for the practice's physicians.
• Maintain a centralized surgical schedule across affiliated hospitals and facilities.
• Coordinate dates with physicians, hospital OR departments, patients, and providers.
• Verify procedure details, durations, physician availability, and equipment.
• Submit surgical booking forms, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and documentation.
• Coordinate assistants, anesthesia, and equipment when needed.
• Manage conflicts, cancellations, and changes to minimize disruption.
• Track patients awaiting dates and follow up to secure scheduling.
