Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Concierge professional to support scheduling, insurance verification, pre-registration, and pre-certification processes. You will gather data, provide price quotes, and assist with financial clearance for procedures.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in healthcare scheduling, and familiarity with EMR systems. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; on-site with a focus on accuracy and patient service.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Two years’ experience in patient scheduling, registration or healthcare billing or completion of MWHC Intern Program.
• Experience with data entry, customer service, collections, and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule procedures accurately according to department specs and physician scripts.
• Schedule and pre-register surgical cases and pre-admission testing; expedite services as needed.
• Provide insurance verification and obtain pre-authorization/certification; supply price quotes and estimates.
• Collect diagnosis information and CPT/HCPCS codes to aid in verification and coordination of benefits.
• Communicate financial responsibility, co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay deposits to patients/guarantors.
• Maintain documentation for insurance authorization and compliance with regulatory requirements.
