The candidate will coordinate office schedules, handle triage calls, process preauthorizations, and assist with surgical setup and post-procedure documentation, working collaboratively with the care team

Qualifications

• Two years surgical scheduling experience, including insurance preauthorization.
• Associates degree in healthcare preferred.
• Proficiency in AllScripts EHR, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Dropbox.
• Ability to travel between clinics as schedule dictates.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate physician schedules to maximize efficiency between clinics.
• Triages messages and responds to patients, physicians, pharmacies, and attorneys.
• Completes FMLA, Disability, and Handicap Parking Permit documentation.
• Schedule surgeries, prepare equipment, and inform patients of requirements.
• Maintain confidential patient records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Provide outstanding patient service and professional telephone etiquette.
