Job summary

Joseph Spine is seeking a Bilingual Physician Support Specialist to travel weekly between our Tampa and Riverview offices, ensuring smooth scheduling and patient flow. This administrative role focuses on coordinating the physician’s calendar, triaging messages, translating between English and Spanish, and delivering a courteous, professional patient experience.

This role requires a High School Diploma, 2–3 years in an orthopedic/spine setting, and proficiency with AllScripts EHR and Microsoft

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years related experience in an orthopedic spine practice, pain management center, clinic, or hospital preferred.
• Bilingual verbal and written (English/Spanish) required.
• Translates patient discussions/documents between Spanish and English-speaking patients, physicians, and clinical staff as authorized by HIPAA.
• Ability to reliably travel between Tampa and Riverview as clinic schedule dictates.
• Intermediate experience with AllScripts EHR and Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates physician’s schedule to maximize efficiency between clinics, surgeries, meetings, and conference calls and administratively assists to keep Provider on task to ensure smooth workflow and continuity of appointments.
• Communicates effectively and flexibly responds to changing demands.
• Triages telephone messages and returns calls to provide timely answers to patients/physicians/pharmacies/attorneys, etc.
• Collaborates with coworkers, management, patients, visitors, and Physicians to achieve Practice goals.
• Rooms, interviews, and transports patients via wheelchair making appointment and scheduling adjustments as required.
• Addresses scheduling, authorization, and billing issues with an appropriate sense of urgency to ensure prompt and successful resolutions.
• Performs other non-clinical duties as directed or assigned.
