Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking a Coordinator of Surgical Scheduling to oversee the comprehensive scheduling of procedures at the Surgery Center and assist with obtaining patients' medical records promptly. This role reports to the Surgery Center Business Manager and supports the center's goals and objectives.

Under supervision, you will coordinate scheduling activities, obtain medical records efficiently, and provide front desk coverage as needed to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate information

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy.
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
• Excellent typing and computer skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage scheduling responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate scheduling activities.
• Obtain and procure patients' medical record information in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide front desk coverage and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely information to support patient care and surgical center operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
