Job summary

Meritus Medical Center Inc in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a Coordinator Surgical Scheduling to oversee comprehensive scheduling of procedures within the Surgery Center and assist with obtaining patient medical records. This role reports to the Surgery Center Business Manager and supports the center’s goals.

The candidate should have strong scheduling experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and excellent communication and computer skills to ensure efficient operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• At least one year of scheduling experience or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with current medical billing regulations for major insurance carriers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate scheduling activities.
• Obtain and procure patients’ medical record information in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide front desk coverage and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely information to support patient care and surgical center operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
