Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking a Coordinator of Surgical Scheduling to manage comprehensive scheduling for procedures at the Surgery Center. This role aids in obtaining patients’ medical record information promptly and supports the center’s goals under the Surgery Center Business Manager.

The position requires high school education and preference for prior medical office or scheduling experience, with potential benefits including insurance coverage and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school education required.
• Experience in a medical office or scheduling is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing regulations for major insurances is a plus.
• At least one year of scheduling experience or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate scheduling activities.
• Obtain and procure patients’ medical record information in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide front desk coverage and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely information to support patient care and surgical center operations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
