Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in health care and minimum of one-year experience in surgery scheduling procedures preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Must handle stress and adapt to flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the facility by performing specific or various business office functions as assigned.
• Schedule surgeries in the surgery template and coordinate with physician offices.
• Answer calls from physician offices and assist patients with scheduling.
• Complete pre-registration and secure physician authorization prior to surgery.
• Maintain logs for cancelled appointments and manage clerical duties.
• Document insurance verification and patient communications in the system.
