Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of surgery scheduling or related secretarial experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with physicians, patients and staff.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain performance under stress.
• Proficiency in typing (65 wpm) and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Athena, Connect Care and Epic helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical scheduling with hospitals and ASC.
• Communicate proactively with physicians, patients, and Benefit/Auth Team.
• Ensure preoperative requirements are met and documented in EMR.
• Maintain accurate schedules in Athena, QGenda, and other tools.
• Assist in scheduling, preop and post-op appointments and document patient information.
