Responsibilities

• Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
• May communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities and staff.
• Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide pre-procedure instructions and confirm appointments.
• Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
• May manage referral work queue, enter patient demographics, and scan documents into EMR.
• Correspond with referring providers and/or patients for reports, scheduling, x-rays and paperwork.
• Provide administrative support for Physicians or Nurse Practitioners.
