Job summary

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital in Lewistown, MT is seeking a Full-time OR Scheduling Support role. Days 8am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of healthcare experience.

You will manage the anesthesia/operating room schedule, coordinate with surgeons and clinics, and ensure timely, accurate patient information flow. Responsibilities include optimizing OR use, communicating open slots, and resolving template issues.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year healthcare related experience required.

Responsibilities

Provides operating room scheduling support for the surgeons within the department.
Manages the individual Providers and the Department's surgery schedule.
Obtains pertinent patient information, communicates with providers to assure that patient needs are met.
Works closely with physician's offices/clinics concerning the scheduling process.
Monitors use of operating rooms within department to ensure optimal use; notifies physicians of open time/rooms for elective cases.
Serves as escalation point for template related issues, maintains issue logs and provides resolution.
Coordinates issues with external departments as needed for resolution.
