Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years related work experience required and 0–1 years supervisory/management experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and OR scheduling systems.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access) and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operation of the Surgical Scheduling staff and online scheduling of operative procedures.
• Ensures cost-effective utilization of staff, space, and equipment; coordinates schedules for multiple OR sites.
• Acts as a training resource for staff and develops quality measures for performance.
• Maintains data accuracy and generates scheduling reports to support staffing and operations.
• Communicates with OR sites, admitting, and nursing resources to resolve scheduling issues.
• Serves as hands-on supervisor providing daily scheduling support for OB/GYN services and other divisions as needed.
