Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners is seeking a Full-Time Scheduling Specialist for Corewell Health Heart & Vascular Surgical Center in Grand Rapids, MI. This role coordinates elective procedure times, verifies privileges, and maintains patient data in the scheduling system.

You will work with physicians and office staff, arranging authorizations, orders, and case details while ensuring accurate records and excellent customer service. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Effective teamwork and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software; ability to use scheduling systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate statistical records and produce reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates case times for elective procedures in a scheduling system and verifies physician privileges.
• Acquires authorization numbers, H&Ps, lab results and ensures current information.
• Types and prints physician orders; schedules block time and releases with leadership.
• Enters physician orders for labs, imaging, and cardiology; compiles data and reports.
• Organizes growth initiatives and supports growth opportunities with CEO and BD.
• Acts as patient liaison, greeting patients and guiding them through policies and procedures.
• Performs site visits with Business Development to address service concerns.
• Maintains confidential records and ensures high levels of customer service.
