Job summary

Corewell Health’s Vascular Surgery HOPD in Grosse Pointe is seeking a boarding coordinator to manage the computer-based scheduling of surgical cases and maintain related data systems. You will coordinate patient information across departments, perform accurate data entry, and support training for fellow boarding coordinators while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Work hours are full-time, day shift, with a focus on service excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years clerical experience in a healthcare environment.
• Surgical scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle computer boarding of surgical cases, including privileges, suspension lists and data completion.
• Maintain Surgical Services computer network and database with accurate data entry.
• Coordinate required surgical patient information between departments to ensure efficient flow.
• Assist in training other surgical services boarding coordinators.
• Adhere to safety, regulatory, and confidentiality standards; participate in mandatory training.
