Maryland Oncology Hematology is seeking a dedicated surgical scheduling professional to coordinate operating room schedules, prepare patients, and ensure timely pre-operative testing and documentation. You will work closely with physicians, anesthesia teams and facility staff to ensure smooth patient flow and compliance with insurance requirements.

Under minimal supervision, you will manage case scheduling, obtain necessary authorizations and support the compliance program.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards.
• Review patient medications and health history for surgical clearance considerations.
• Coordinate case scheduling tasks including pre-surgery steps and required documentation.
• Arrange pre-operative appointments, imaging, and any necessary product orders for procedures.
• Obtain pre-authorization and insurance pre-certification with correct CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Maintain surgical documentation in the EMR and communicate updates to the physician.
